Professional & ethical standards.

Professional and Ethical Standards

We understand that appointing an agent to act on your behalf is not an easy decision or one to be taken lightly. Ultimately, our aim is to build lasting and trusted relationships with clients and as a result, it is important all stakeholders of the partnership are aware and understand the professional and ethical standards that form the foundations of the firm.

In addition to complying with the the code of conduct issued by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, our standards are listed below.

  • We do not sell. We are advisors and act in the best interest of our clients at all times. Financial products and business/tax strategies are never used as a means to win clients or to generate additional fees.
  • Commission does not exist within the partnership. All fees earned by the partnership are on an invoice basis and where applicable are agreed in advance with the client.
  • The partnership is completely independent. We feel this is greatly important to affirm our ability to act in the best interest of our clients.
  • As set out in the partnership agreement, all partners as a minimum hold chartered status in an accountancy & business qualification. Chartered status ensures the individual has a high technical knowledge and that continuous professional development is maintained to ensure clients obtain the best advice in a fast changing financial world.
  • We are conscious of our environmental footprint. Where possible we try to minimise waste and utilise technology to its full effect. This is reviewed frequently to ensure all practices and procedures comply as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Due to the complexity and fast changing nature of financial advice and compliance, there maybe instances where specialist skills are required which do not exist within the partnership. No member will undertake activities that fall outside of their competence. In those instances, the client will be informed and where requested, given assistance as to who to seek advice.
  • Should any conflicts of interest arise, these will be fully disclosed to the client and where applicable, that individual will be removed from the engagement. Should the conflict of interest not be fully removed, the firm will disengage to act and provide the client with assistance in finding alternative agents.
